This Multi-Media sound and light show recreates the history of Gobindgarh fort, Whose seemingly mute walls have a story to tell of the sweep of history. Starting with the 8th Century, when the Bhangi Misl rulers made this fort and called it the “Gujar Singh Fort’’…. To the 19th Century when Maharaja Ranjit Singh took it over and named it “Qila Gobindgarh” … the making of the moats, the bastions & the Toshakhana, where the priceless Kohinoor diamond was kept with 12000 soldiers to guard the treasury… to the British capture after the 2nd Angl-Saxon war and their rule spanning over a 150 years – under the sadistic General O’Dyer, to it being converted to an army cantonment at India’s independence …to the present day when this iconic historical monument was restored and returned to the people of Punjab.
